{"id":1233,"date":"2024-04-01T10:18:02","date_gmt":"2024-04-01T09:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dauk.org\/dauk-sad-to-learn-of-the-death-of-founding-member-and-former-chair-dr-jenny-vaughan\/"},"modified":"2024-04-01T10:18:02","modified_gmt":"2024-04-01T09:18:02","slug":"dauk-sad-to-learn-of-the-death-of-founding-member-and-former-chair-dr-jenny-vaughan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dauk.org\/dauk-sad-to-learn-of-the-death-of-founding-member-and-former-chair-dr-jenny-vaughan\/","title":{"rendered":"DAUK sad to learn of the death of founding member and former chair, Dr Jenny Vaughan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Doctors\u2019 Association UK (DAUK) is deeply saddened to hear the news that our dearest friend and colleague Dr Jenny Vaughan has died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jenny was a founding member of DAUK, a past chair, and absolutely lived and breathed the Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dauk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Dr-Jenny-Vaughan-2-947x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Head and shoulders photo of Dr Jenny Vaughan\" class=\"wp-image-9528\" style=\"width:523px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dr Jenny Vaughan was a founding member of DAUK and a past chair<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She had a feisty, passionate personality and will be remembered for her tireless work on whistleblowing, on \u2018learn not blame\u2019, and on bringing about justice for Dr David Sellu and Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jenny would help and support anyone who called her, no matter what the injustice, even when she was unwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She believed passionately in a fair and just culture in healthcare and we at DAUK will do our very best to continue her work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will always remember her mantra, learn not blame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May she rest in peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Doctors\u2019 Association UK (DAUK) is deeply saddened to hear the news that our dearest friend and colleague Dr Jenny Vaughan has died.
