Collaboration between GPs and pharmacists is vital to efficient healthcare, says DAUK\u2019s GP committee member Dr Sarah Jacques.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of DAUK and representing GPs, Dr Jacques attended a Westminster reception held by the Independent Pharmacies Association (IPA), which represents community pharmacies.\r\n\r\nThe event was to celebrate independent community pharmacies.\r\n\r\nIt was attended by the Health Minister Stephen Kinnock; Lord Nick Markham, a health minister in the Conservative Government; and Health Select Committee member Danny Beales.\r\n\r\nDr Jacques, who is a GP based in Sussex, was invited by Dr Leyla Hannbeck, chief executive of IPA.\r\n\r\nIt is the latest in a series of IPA events DAUK has been invited to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
