{"id":3289,"date":"2026-06-02T15:54:49","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T14:54:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dauk.org\/?p=3289"},"modified":"2026-06-02T17:55:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T16:55:46","slug":"beyond-palantir-what-next-for-the-nhs-federated-data-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dauk.org\/beyond-palantir-what-next-for-the-nhs-federated-data-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyond Palantir: what next for the NHS Federated Data Platform?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doctors&#8217; Association UK (DAUK) members attending NHS ConfedExpo 2026 are invited to a discussion on the future of the Federated Data Platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organised by Medact, the fringe event is titled Beyond Palantir &#8211; what&#8217;s next for the Federated Data Platform?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It takes place from 5pm to 6pm on 10 June at HOME Manchester, a fully accessible venue located a short walk from Manchester Central Convention Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NHS Federated Data Platform<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event comes amid growing parliamentary discussion about the potential for the break clause in the NHS Federated Data Platform contract with Palantir to be triggered in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DAUK has consistently opposed the involvement of Palantir in the NHS data and has raised concerns regarding transparency, governance, and public confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A&nbsp;panel of data and health equity experts have been invited to speak at the event and there will be the possibility for questions and discussion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Speakers include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Matt Hennessey, chief data and analytics officer, Greater Manchester ICB<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marc Farr, chair, NHS Chief Data and Analytical Officer Network, Advisory Board member, APHA National Data Advisory Group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emma Runswick, deputy chair of Council, British Medical Association&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medact.org\/event\/nhs-confedexpo-2026-fringe-event\/\">Sign up on the Medact website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DAUK is run by frontline doctors for frontline doctors.
