{"id":3428,"date":"2026-06-25T13:26:29","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T12:26:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dauk.org\/?p=3428"},"modified":"2026-06-25T13:34:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T12:34:53","slug":"heatwave-how-are-conditions-where-you-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dauk.org\/heatwave-how-are-conditions-where-you-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Heatwave: how are conditions where you work?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DAUK has launched a short survey to find out what working conditions are like in the NHS during the current heatwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A red weather warning is in place for southern England and Wales with temperatures climbing above 33C in some parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forecasters expect June records to be challenged or exceeded during the current heatwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Survey<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re asking healthcare workers to complete our anonymous survey and to tell us what conditions are really like on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tell us how hot your workplace has been during this week&#8217;s heatwave. Does your main clinical area have working air conditioning? \u00a0Is the heat affecting patient care, staffing, or your own wellbeing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you support a legal maximum temperature for workplaces, including hospitals?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey should take two or three minutes to complete and is anonymous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Heatwave<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your experiences will help us build a clearer picture of how the NHS is coping during this heatwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DAUK will write to the Department of Health with the findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please take a few minutes to complete our survey and share it with colleagues: <a href=\"https:\/\/dauk.org\/heatwave-survey-2026\/\">https:\/\/dauk.org\/heatwave-survey-2026\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are a non-profit campaigning and lobbying organisation led by frontline doctors, for frontline doctors.
